Meet Noisy Tenants

Nicholas Mitchel and Chris Landrum are the dynamic duo that make up the community-focused production agency Noisy Tenants. These two understand the importance of empowerment behind big visions and with each project, they seek to minimize the number of dreams deferred due to lack of access. Noisy Tenants uses experiential methods to open doors and empower the youth. The pair’s 2017 project in collaboration with students at Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School in Baltimore, (“Mervo”), was an eye opener to the value of their work and the level of impact they could have on the city if they highlighted the passions of those within the community. Chris is an alumnus of the school, and being from Northeast Baltimore, is constantly seeking ways to build with the city that helped mold him into who he is today.

Nicholas made a deeper connection with Baltimore when he moved to the city about eight years ago. As he adjusted to his new home, Nicholas dove right in on connecting with the community and building meaningful relationships. These relationships inspired him to embrace himself and to embrace the phrase “strength in numbers” in a new way. Nicholas and Chris have a true passion for sustainability through innovation and design, and partners of the agency find that being a “resident” of the Noisy Tenants community means changing the world for the people around them as well as those in the generations to come.
